RUGBY LEAGUE CLUB

Welcome to the University of Leicester Rugby League Club

With a full strength side, and a lot of hard work from the team and the committee, this season is shaping up to be extremely promising. We have a new coach in Tim Farnden and the opportunity to recruit some great freshers so the potential for this season is endless. Bring on the pain!

Unlucky Leicester lose to Nottingham in a tough fought game.

Following a good performance against Staffs last week the lads gained some much-needed confidence ahead of the game against Nottingham. From the kick off the match was always going to be a physical encounter and Wednesday's performance did not bring anything different. Early scores from both sides meant Leicester were 12-8 up at half time and with everything still to play for.
Unfortunately a number of unforced errors in defence allowed Nottingham to capitalise and come away with an eventual 36-20 win.

As against Staffs the scoreline does not in away way reflect how the game was played and every member of the team on Wednesday left all they had on the pitch.

Condolences to the team, enjoy the Xmas break, come back and lets take it Loughborough for our last game of the season!
