Hi my names Alex Willett and I’m the match day/fixtures secretary for the club. I’m a third year Medical Genetics student at Leicester and am in my second year at the club. I play as a centre for the team. My role as match day secretary is to organise referee’s and ensure that them and the opposing team know exactly where we play and that changing rooms are provided. I’m originally from Northampton so like a few other members of the club I was brought up on rugby union. However the last two years at ULRLFC have been the best in my sporting career. Learning the game has been an unbelievably enjoyable experience and am now like many others find I am addicted to the game and look forward to every training session let alone match.
Another important feature of the club that has endeared me to it so much is the social experience, which due to everyone in the club being so tightly knit makes every Wednesday social unmissable.
