Welcome to the 'fitness forum'! As rugby players it is essential that we keep fit and build on our strengths in order to prevent injury within the team whilst still inflicting it on others!

This section will explain what you need to get started in the gym, explain what fitness training is available to you and give you some useful websites for reference.

Circuit Training - "YES TED!"
It's no secret that plenty of us who play for the club are lazy bastards who like nothing better than to sit on our arses and watch the entire series of family guy in one sitting (Tom Wright)! However, at least once a week we make a concerted effort to dust off the old running shoes and head to the Manor Road or Charles Wilson Sports hall for a good old circuit training session!

The Gym
For £60 for the entire year the gym membership is a bargain! We highly recommend that all members of the ULRLFC obtain one of these because you will regret it if you don't!

Many of our players had never even set foot inside a gym until joining the club so we therefore understand that it might seem a bit daunting! Not to worry! Our members are fully committed to helping you on your way to becoming a blue mutant just like the lads on the homepage!

Most of us refer our questions to our resident gym guru Alex! Trained by the Royal Marines in hand-to-hand combat and just being a hard-nut, Mozza can mould you into a leaner you with one easy program and a lot of shouting! Don't be scared, he's really just a recluse who knows too much about the gym!
