Hello and welcome to the official website of the University Of Leicester Rugby League Football Club! My name is Hyunwu Kang and I am the Club Captain for the ULRLFC for the 2010/11 season. With incredible improvements in the club last season from a lot of talented fresher’s joining the ranks; this season is looking to be explosive yet again for the University Club. The hope is that this year will see another successful fresher’s recruitment drive to welcome into the team more talented young players to continue our developing progress. With a fresh new look to the club to mark its growth and plenty of pre-season preparation, the Club looks set to cause a stir in the league and prove troublesome for its opponents. Aside from the game, the team’s social hub is most definitely one that is noticeable and envied among the University’s sports teams. We pride ourselves on creating a brotherhood within the club and making all our members feel like part of something significant. In addition, the ULRLFC’s strong affiliation with the city club, the Leicester Storm RLFC, has seen university players represent the Storm at both first grade and academy levels. The strong showcase of talent in the university side is definitely one to watch this season, and most definitely be a part of. Having said all this, the amount of potential for an amazing season is already there, it’s now just up to you to sign up. A lot of our player’s joined with little or no experience of Rugby League and have developed to become some of the side’s best players! Joining the Club is definitely a great way to make a lot of friends instantly, across all years, courses and backgrounds. Come and have a go and get stuck in!
